I still think Preet Bharara would have been the best pick for AG. We know he had no hesitation to go after tRump family criminal activity.

(7,756 posts)he's doing what he has to do in the here and now like dealing with voter suppression...allow him time (and yes, we do have time) to put the justice department back together and then go after trump...let Vance and James do their jobs on the state level before Garland hits the orange dung heap with federal charges

It's not like Garland is sitting in his office saying, "gosh, maybe I'll think about prosecuting trump one of these days."
The DOJ has charged more than SIX HUNDRED people! Once a number of them are tried and convicted THEN the pieces will begin to fall into place.

(2,049 posts)It's the same things being said about Merrick Garland as with Robert Mueller. "There are big things going on behind the scenes", "It takes time to build a case", "The delays are just proof of how thorough a case Garland is building".
I think a lot of people fell for the "If McConnell blocked him, he must be good propaganda.
