TFG's non-peaceful exit, I look and feel 10 years younger.

Unfortunately, panic and worry has crept back in due to the qOP's unchecked assaults on our democracy. Once the qOP "Jim Crow 2" efforts are reversed /neutralized, it will be smooth sailing for me.

we must focus on the Midterms of 2022. Traditionally the party in power loses seats. We must not let that happen. We might luck out since repubs are against getting vaccinated. Less repub voters would help.

It is wonderful.............we all have enough trauma in our own personal lives without DJT creating more - I just wish the media would quit reporting on every stupid move he makes. We are still bombarded with DJT trauma, thanks to Fox, Cnn and the like. I, for one, wish I had never heard of DJT!!! President Biden and VP Harris are wonderful and sane!!

Clinton, Obama, Biden--all of them took office with a majority of the country saying "FINALLY!" and the darkest forces of the Republican machine doing anything BUT wallowing in despair. They immediately got to work on planning the destruction of any progress the incoming administration could possibly accomplish.

While Clinton was trying to fix "the economy, stupid," the Republicans started work on their "Contract" with/on America. Bush Lite did such a terrible job that even Cheney knew the next president would be a Democrat. But they got to work before the curtain fell, and put Alito and Roberts on the Supreme Court. Imagine what was discussed in the Oval Office while Rove and Cheney were interviewing them (with W listening--to what I couldn't say, maybe Springsteen)? Not civil rights or health care, for sure. No, it was the upcoming Citizens United and the suppression of parts of the Voting Rights Act. "If something like Citizens United got enacted, challenged, and it came before the Court, would you vote to uphold it? Yes? OK, you're the nominee." "If you had the chance to declare a legal end to parts of the Voting Rights Act, would you do so? Yes? OK, you're the nominee."

When Obama was nominated, McTurtle came right out and said he would attempt to block anything Obama wanted. And so he did. He didn't always get his way, but after the ACA was passed, he threw one roadblock after another, many of them successful, especially when Scalia made his early exit. Blocking Garland was a military coup worthy of the worst Banana Republic.

Joe Biden has a precarious hold on the House and Senate, but, like you said, teetering. If there is a political free ride somewhere, it's at the opposite end of the universe from where we are now.

continues grinding relentlessly toward their goal of one party rule.

They long ago brazenly nullified the concept of bipartisanship and they've systematically blurred reality to so great a degree that I am concerned that when the three percent reshape our future, ninety-sieven percent will watch it happen on TV, and talk about it the day following.

I'm sorry that so many will be spending our remaining years in so poisonous an environment.

Already, parts of it, notably Hungary and Poland, are sliding back toward the old Soviet style of government, albeit with a rightward tilt this time, not that the former "socialists" did things differently. The leadership of Germany, after four terms of the very sensible non-politician Merkel, is again being fought over by professional politicians and bureaucrats who are more interested in seeing their name in the headlines than in articles praising their common sense. That goes for the top candidates of all parties there, unless a fresh wind starts blowing from somewhere very quickly. Any sensible suggestions from the right or left quickly get blown away for the sole reason that they came from the other side. Sound familiar?

California Rep. Swalwell has said that the same people who smear him on Fox "News" are quick to laugh it off, and expect him to be collegial, as though he, too, were a pro wrestler playing a role.

If we lose, we're not likely coming back for a rematch.

The fresh wind you speak of had best be a 13 on the Beaufort scale.

My systolic BP is down by 15 points since the bad old days of TFG. I kid you not. That's how much it's dropped since January, even though Biden was president elect. From the time TFG has left the White House until now......... 15 points. No change in medication, no different exercise regimen. Nothing but TFG leaving the White House. 😁

I sense that I am 'different' person these past few years and I know a lot of it has to do with the constant chaos of Trump....every single day!! I used to think my anxiety was created by my advancing years, but now I feel Trump is the cause. It got a lot worse after the insurrection.
