(62,266 posts)No acceptance of their mistake and painful actions. Just prayers for those who were detrimentally affected by the Church's policy. Absolving themselves of any and all responsibility.

God gave you the ability to reason, experts to give you advice, and the material resources to follow that advice. And what did you do with those gifts? You spit in his eye, turned your back on them, and acted a fool. Your words now are hollow, your actions have told a different tale.

(13,903 posts)why do these christians think failing to take precautions against a virus is a moral thing to do?

(62,266 posts)But the Church is very adept at using "forgiveness" and "acceptance" as the way they avoid responsibility for their actions. Also, never ever accepting responsibility. They would also use rhetoric about "faith" with those who were detrimentally affected, "God did this as a test." "Your faith was not strong." etc.
Believe it their Deacons are running to each and every person affected and using similar language and rhetoric.

"Prayer is how you tell God His plan for you is not only wrong, but shockingly cheap."

(46,023 posts)Is he also telling other pastors not to do what his congregation did? Is he taking any responsibility for this at all?

(146,255 posts)So prays the moronic pastor who led his flock into a plague. Now he wants Jebus to save his ass from his stupid decisions.
There's just one problem...Ain't nobody listening to this idiot.

(1,666 posts)...did you hear the one about Job? God, having a strangely human need to show someone up no matter the consequences, decides to take up the bet from the fiery one in the basement and ruins Jobs life by killing all his family and livestock and making him sick. Then God got to say See, he still loves me. Told ya so.
If that is the God you are praying to, youre fucked.
