This does not make any sense to me at all.

As more Democrats get the vaccines, we are keeping ourselves alive.

Those Fox-Bot Republicans who shun the shot just may die. They won't be around for any more elections.

Republicans/Conservatives don't really care about democracy. If democracy serves to keep them in power, they will accept it. If it doesn't, they will discard it.

They are working, in the states, to make voting such that the majority doesn't really matter. They suppress votes and they control the infrastructure that counts the votes they allow to be submitted. Then they retain the authority to overturn the will of the majority if the outcome is not to their liking, citing potential "irregularities" as an excuse.

Republicans haven't been close to any kind of majority since Ronald Reagan was elected yet they hold an out sized portion of federal and state offices for their numbers. It isn't because they have more voters.

Killing off more to keep their base activated is a trade off that they are willing to make because they think that they have sufficient numbers to push them forward until the day that they don't even care if anyone ever votes again.

So far. I just saw on MSNBC that the Democratic AG in Michigan has resigned, because she's tired and scared of the death threats she and her family receive, almost on a daily basis.

Two men were just charged in a plot to blow up Democratic party headquarters in California.

This shit is getting out if hand. If Democrats are too frightened to stay in office, if they're successfully hunted down and killed, for nothing more than political beliefs, this country is already too far gone to save.

If we don't fight back this country is doomed. It may already be too late.

And they think they are going to win it.

I understand the Michigan AG fearing for her and her family’s safety, AND we need people who are not afraid of these fascist cowards. They are emboldened when we give them ground like this.

If Republicans can’t abide by democracy, then they are enemies of it, and need to be handled as we would a terrorist organization. No political party or interest should be greater than that of preserving our Constitutional government.

If you recall, after Trump came out and told people to wear a mask or his half assed attempt to promote the vaccine, some in the media interviewed Trump supporters in Iowa and they didn't care that he had come out and said they should wear masks and get vaccinated.

Vaccinations and other health measures have been folded up into the huge conspiracy soup that is the Conservative movement/Republican Party these days.

As Thom Hartmann has theorized, the only explanation that makes any sense is the republicons are using the anti-vaxxers to tank the economy in order to win the next election. Winning elections/holding onto their seats and retaking the House, Senate and Presidency are all they care about.

If there is another significant surge due to the unvaccinated or a new variant the current vaccines won't protect against, then Biden and the Dem's will have done worse the Trump in handling the virus. And in a darker way of looking at it, they are hoping the number of dead (already over 600,000) gets worse, so they can say TFG wasn't so bad, look, more people have died from COVID under Biden.

The rubes think it is about "owning the Libs" but the leadership of the Republicans want the Democrats to fail, so that they can once again scream that government, which is what Democrats represent, doesn't work.

That has been their mantra since Reagan. Mess up government, say government doesn't work, get into power, then use government power to steal from the middle class and poor to give to the rich.

Sometimes it feels like we’re all imprisoned on a big boat to Hell.

And btw, I’m getting DAMN sick ‘n’ tired of hearing the tired lazy ignorant response “well I hope so..,” or “I remain hopeful… “.

Oh YEAH??? What are you DOING about it??? “Hope” doesn’t mean shit without a concrete plan of action (and the active willingness to IMPLEMENT that action).

Don’t bore me with your “hope.” I want to know what you’ve been DOING.

My uncle used to say “that and a dime will get you a cup of coffee.” Now, it’s more like “that and a dime will get you a few minutes on a parking meter.”

My apologies. Feeling rather cynical and thoroughly disgusted today.

Why is it that yelling, "FIRE" in a crowded theater is not protected speech under the first amendment but, Focksnooze, et al, can yell lies and falsehoods all day, every day? People sometimes have to make life decisions based on the latest news. Like hurricane and tornado warnings. What if some news outlet said, "It's going to be nice and sunny. Take your family out for a picnic."You do so and you and your family die. First amendment rights, along with all other rights come with responsibilities and consequences. Why is this allowed?

Honestly, so what? So what if a few hundred Repugs croak a day, they all have other co-conditions anyway. Not sure why we are wasting our time on them. We are vaccinated, we can toss on a mask in a crowd in addition. So who cares?

2100 die per day of heart disease, 1600/day from cancer, 500/day from accidents, 400/day from chronic respiratory disease, 350/day from Altzeimers.

I came completely and totally over Covid deaths in the US, adults making their own choices.
