The thread is worth reading. When a former GOP leader - turns against the GOP current leaders in the state on how to lead during covid - it could get messy.
Good on him. (The only time I have ever uttered that about him.)
Shame on all who have encouraged this world-view. Am a few states away in another red state, and am very worried about what is unfolding.

#Tennessee ranks 44th in percentage of population fully vaccinated against #Covid19. Thats discouraging and deadly.

It should be the top priority of our states leadership to lead to unambiguously lead each and every day in encouraging #Covid and childhood vaccinations, especially in the midst of a pandemic where infections and new variants continue to spread.

We must also recognize, and actively combat, the rising vaccine hesitancy and skepticism toward science that are driving down the uptake of lifesaving childhood vaccinations for all diseases.

Tennessee can stand by #science and #savelives, or we can further a dangerous trend that is eroding public health and trust in government.

But it is the responsibility of our states leaders to take sometimes uncomfortable, even unpopular, positions when the health and lives of our people are at stake.
