Unless something changes quickly, FL will be as bad as it was last Jan for COVID.

New cases are nearly doubling every week. In just two weeks FL will be in the ballpark of new cases numbers it had last January, when COVID cases peaked in FL.

Same problem for AR, MO, LA, NV, WY UT and MS.

Delta is just seeding in SD and ND now, probably ID too.

This is going to get ugly (again).

This time, GOP states are going to be nailed much more severely than DEM states, but cases are still rising even in highly vaccinated DEM states probably due to pockets of GOP'ers who are anti-vax and cluster with each other.

Sometime I can't believe how surreal this has become.

Shutdowns and restrictions are bad for business, bad for the basis of our livelihood. That was the same argument made against ending slavery. I’ve been thinking about that recently.

Looked at what happened to local economies during the Spanish Flu.

Those that went for masks and social distancing had better economic outcomes that those that chose lifestyle as usual.

Maybe you can find that article with google.

Florida is not a Purple state, it is a Red state. Voted for Drumpf twice. 2 repub Senators. A repub Governor who couldn't care less about the Covid pandemic, yet he still enjoys widespread support.

I feel bad for any Democrats there, but hopefully they are all vaccinated, and won't get caught up in the shit storm that's on the horizon.
