Last night Trump put out a whine fest re the Arizona audit and Fox News for once accurately reporting that there was no evidence of mass voter fraud in the general
surprise! If you want to see it you can pop over to his spoke persons twitter @realLizUSA it is absolute dross so did not feel the need to promote in full. Needless to say, election stolen, RINOs, oh woe is me, blah, blah, orange craven nazi blah
The question has to be at what point will the cultists let go of the big lie? They have had multiple lawsuits, ninja audits and over eight months to present any evidence that the election was nicked. The brightest and the best of them, by which I mean the not very bright and really rather bad of them, have repeatedly pledged that they would dazzle us all with irrefutable evidence of the dastardly democrats stealing the election from right under their nazi noses. Over eight months and nothing, nadda, zippo. Much like with everything the presidency of the former guy foundered at, they have utterly failed to produce one scintilla of evidence to back up the big lie, which is hardly surprising because of course it is a big lie. Where is their clincher? Their I told you so moment in the sun. It is never going to happen, of course, and after eight months of this bollocks how dense and delusional do you have to be to continue to believe that is was never anything but a big fat bastard lie?

(7,840 posts)what they can't let go of is their 4 years of out in the open unapologetic hate for "the other"...they paraded their assault weapons shouting racist and ethnics epithets at BLM activists, drove their cars into crowds maiming and killing peaceful protestors, harassed and battered Asian Americans, killed Hispanic back-to-school shoppers, strode into a black church and a Jewish synagogue randomly killing elderly worshippers...all of this because their guy, a vengeful, depraved, amoral conman, said he'd pay their "fines".... 1/6 was no surprise..their hate-filled god instructed an equally hate-filled mob to take back what was his by any means necessary, if they wanted another four years of overt and unpunished "target practice"...

(17,526 posts)To do so would require them to admit that that they had been played for a fool. To the true believers, the more evidence that is presented to disprove the lie, the more proof they have that there is a big coverup. Trump is a god to many of his followers; it is a great sin for them to not buy into the whole program. Gods are not subject to the same standards of evidence as mortals. It is all faith-based politics.
If the crazy right are able to return Trump or a Trumpist (like DeSantis) to office there will be a great reckoning with the heretics; a modern inquisition that will purge the nation of the non-believers. We are following a path that leads to the destruction of nations and history is the roadmap that we are following. It is unfolding before our eyes with all of the legislation that is being passed in the states to hobble Democracy.
A minority population of true believers founded this nation, a minority will bring it down.
