The more a person advertises they are a Christian, whether by word or symbols, the more of a hypocrite they are.

They need imagery to pre-sell to others they are Christian because their words and actions can not do it.

2. As an atheist, I'll be honest: I'm not sure what a Christian is

Because faith cannot be proven, it seems we allow individuals to call themselves Christian without any regard to whether the are followers of the teachings of Christ. This leads to a wide spectrum of behaviors that fall under the Christian umbrella.

This is just my perspective. I'm an atheist because I can't imagine a deity that makes sense and because religions seem to have no room for new facts or ideas. There is nothing about life now that is similar to life 2000 years ago, except we die. But I would say even our deaths are different.

5. A person is a Christian when they live by Matthew 25: 35-36.

To be a Christian you must follow the teaching of Jesus on how to live your life. We are Jewish and we try to live our lives following the secular teachings of Jesus as in Matthew 25: 35-36. It doesn't matter if Jesus said those thing or not, they are good rules to live by.
