I released my inner vaccine snob

yesterday and I don’t feel bad about it.
I said hello to a neighbor and reminded her about mom’s bday party later. “Bring your (adult) son if you like. He’s vaccinated right?” I invited and queried, knowing that the invited attendees were ALL vaccinated.
I am but he is not she replied.
I said, “He is still welcome but he will have to wear a mask.”
She came, he didn’t.

1. That's the way to do it! It's not being a snob at ALL.

Good that you made it clear up front, too. Everyone knows where they stand.

I would have uninvited him. If there was any eating or drinking, he'd have to take his mask off. I'm glad he didn't come.

BUT there are those who still have barriers to vax access, so I can't be too judgy.

It also encourages more people to get vaccinated.

Most of them are the same people who wouldn't wear a mask anyway.

Like you my husband and I won't allow unvaccinated people into our home unless they're wearing a mask. I don't think its unreasonable at all.
