If you were attacked and bitten by a wild fox, would you listen to the ER doctors and get a rabies vaccine?
A simple yes or no will do.

(15,082 posts)I am a whole-hearted PRO vaxxer, but I live in a community with a lot of "hippie" families who don't believe in them. Especially for their children. A little boy from such a family lived in the country. He was playing around in the barn and got a cut on his foot. Because he had never been immunized for tetanus, he got it. When his jaw locked up, his parents finally took him to the hospital. After many weeks of treatment, he recovered. While he was there they gave him his first Tetanus shot. The doctors recommended that the parents bring the boy back in the appropriate amount of time for a booster. They declined!! After nearly losing their son to a preventable disease and a ONE MILLION DOLLAR hospital bill, they opted not to get the booster. Nor did they vaccinate any of their other children. And back that little boy went to the barn.
Makes no sense, but there you are.

By the way, how did these "hippies" pay the $1MM hospital bill?

There has always been a TINY contingent of people, Robert Kennedy Jr sadly is one of them, who are anti vax, but this is a tiny group.
What we have are MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of trump worshippers who for NO OTHER reason than to pay homage to the DUMBEST ADULT ALIVE, trump, are refusing to be vaccinated.
I think they should be deported. to an island with no humans on it.

(22,031 posts)First, you're assuming that anti-vaxxers are capable of critical thought and comparisons. Clearly, they are not.
Second, you've presumed that the anti-vaxxer will understand the analogy of the rabid fox with the Covid vaccination. Why in the world would you think they can make that connection?
Consider this: The anti-vaxxers (and Trump sycophants) expect everyone to bow down to Trump in thanks for setting up the Warp Speed program to develop the vaccines for a disease that Trump called a hoax! Square that circle for me, please.
Lastly, if an anti-vaxxer were bitten by a rabid fox, what makes you think they would go to en ER?
