She'll be on the shortlist to succeed Breyer.....assuming he realizes how badly he needs to retire.

By the end of Joe's first term, Dem appointees will dominate the Federal Judiciary. Right now it's 51.3% Republican appointed, 48.7% Dem appointed, but that will change with every new Biden judge that is confirmed. Of course the SCOTUS is really slanted, but the rest of the courts are fairly balanced right now, and there are some holdovers from Bush I, Reagan, and even Bush 2 that aren't total nut jobs. The 29% of them appointed by Trump are going to be a big problem going forward, but this is not as hopeless a situation as it's portrayed. And the lower courts decide important issues all the time, most stuff never makes it to the SCOTUS.

Need to kill the Filibuster and pass voting rights to do that. Need to keep SCROTUS from killing voting rights even worse...

Damn, this is such a tenuous chain of events; I am nervous every minute.

Congrats to her!!

The appellate level is critical because that is where most cases are essentially "settled", with only a tiny few going beyond that level and actually accepted by the SCOTUS (for obvious reasons).
