2. A word that describes me perfectly.
Friends and family do not understand my attraction to men who are smart but not necessarily physically attractive. I have always been turned on by brainy guys, the caveat being that they must also have a good sense of humor.
Repartee is the best foreplay in my opinion. ![]() |

10. I don't know what to call myself, but I have always been turned on
by quietly confident, striving, ethical females. That was the case when I was a minor and is the case in adulthood

3. People aren't sapiosexual. They're just classist.

7. You're saying is "classist" to be attracted to intelligence?
Gee, what are the fair and righteous things we're supposed to be attracted to instead?

11. I'm saying that "sapiosexuals" are attracted to very specific kinds of "intelligence" which,
funny enough, correspond to their social markers.

9. Actually they aren't.
It could be a man who can only love a man or woman who knows everything about working on cars, or about a form of gardening. The attraction is intellectual, or artistic, or anything else where a person can become highly learned in, it doesn’t have to be classic book learning or have anything to do with economic or class standing.

12. Attraction is not orientation, and perceptions of intelligence depend on more than hobbies or
abilities. People have an innate attraction to someone who knows how to garden? Come on.

13. I happen to like hanging out with women that garden.
My experience is that both men and women who garden tend to be more analytical and aren’t disposed to hot button reaction.

8. A person who is sapiosexual is in part of the asexual spectrum.
There are also demisexual people in that spectrum (they need to make an emotional connection with a person before they will even consider having sex with that person). Governor Cuomo’s 23 year old daughter recently announced that she was bisexual and demisexual.
