Misinformation vs Disinformation ?

What is the difference?

Is "misinformation" simply propagating information that is factually wrong, whether intentional or by mistake?

What is "disinformation"? Is it information that is propagated with the intention of manipulating the truth to further some political agenda?

It seems to me that we get a lot of both? I suppose the trick is to know which is which?

The press has gotten into the habit of calling everything T***** and the RW vomits "misinformation" when the clear purpose is to mislead. It should be called by what it is -- "disinformation."
