attributed it to cab ride, not the GOP super-spreader Trump "victory" parties he went to.

Anyway, he says since he had the disease, he's immune. I pointed him to the doctors who said that the disease might be like a first dose, but they need a second to really get the immunity.

But after acting all last year like wearing a mask would make him like a real wuss, he got it, and since then he's been acting like it was the bite of Spiderman's radioactive spider.

He's SPECIAL. He SURVIVED IT. he's IMMUNE NOW.

It's just impossible to talk to him. Underneath all the arrogance is this craven need to please Trump (who, of course, doesn't know him or care about him).

mothers can transfer some immunity via antibodies found in breast milk. Considering that covid vaccine is unlikely to be available for infants until next year, this is an execellent chance to feed antibodies.

He's an alcoholic with liver problems, and he probably has other serious health issues as well. If he gets Covid-19, he probably won't have an easy time with it. He's convinced he already had Covid-19 in 2020, but he never got tested and his description of the symptoms don't really fit. I suspect he had one of the other bugs that were going around in early 2020. My husband and I had one of those about the same time my brother thinks he had Covid, and we coughed for a couple of weeks, but it was just a nasty cold.

My cousin is a lunatic, and I told her, love you, but you are not welcome in my house without the vaccine. My next door neighbor swears that she had Covid, I don't believe her. And I'm pretty sure that she thinks that since she "had Covid", she doesn't need the vaccine. She is not welcome in my house either. Of course, I don't have tRumpers over to my house.

Two were unvaccinated, one had the J&J vaccine, and another got the Pzifer vaccine 4-5 months ago. I would say 50% of employees aren’t vaccinated, but lately it’s been about 50/50 as far as who is testing positive, vaccinated vs non.

Good news is they have all been relatively mild cases so far, like just simple cold and flu symptoms with some saying they lost taste/smell as well.

He said he wouldn’t get vaxed because big pharmas are making millions of dollars from the vaccine.

This dumbass was the first person on our shift to get covid. He came back to work the day after he tested positive. He was way to politely sent home until he had a doctors release. Many people thought he should have been fired.

The husband is American (but has been in Sweden and London (where I met him via my mum, since 1996, before I was born), his wife is a native Swede from an insanely dysfunctional upper class family.

The husband's father is the problem. Super anti-vaxxer, but also hates Trump, Biden, all Dems, almost all Rethugs (he loves Ron Paul, hates Rand). He was a multi-decade real life friend of people like Eustace Mullins (eeeeeek!!), for instance.

He (grandpa) is an old school conspiracy head, going back to the early 1960's. Double PhD in history and political science, retired college professor, self made multi-millionaire (construction firm he started on the side with his brother), encyclopaedic knowledge in so many fields, he is a motherfucking load to debate.

He lives in Hawaii now, but was a globe hopper for decades, Brussels, Paris, London, Hong Kong, Sydney, New York City (where he grew up, he was the tag-along 'poor' friend of the Astor/Rockefeller/Vanderbilt etc etc set, their assorted chaotic penumbra) He has the most amazing photo collection from that part of his life, and those interactions he had with them (my dog, the insane tales he has from those days, almost all backed up with hardcore evidence, he is a superb amateur photog as well as an obsessive diarist) made him hate the systemic controlling class.

He has been inside his son's brain for most of his life. The son is also a PhD and a teacher, not at all stupid, but the layers of decades of highly sophisticated programming are so hard to wash away, especially when the father comes to Sweden to visit or goes on a week long Zoom call binge now.

I shall endeavour to get the husband and wife (who doesn't like me but loves my wife, go figure, lolol) over that jab jab line, and they have scheduled a vax appointment for the both of them on Monday, August 2nd.

We shall see.

with being a christian. We would tease her about her beliefs when we were younger. Now say's she won't get the shot. I believe she is using it to show her dedication to her faith. I won't speak to her about it with the fear she will dig in more. I am hoping she gets the vaccination with encouragement from somewhere else. What a mess!!!

Brainwashed by misinformation online and in RW media, all of them.

Thank God I have some family members, including the one I consider at greatest risk, who are fully vaccinated.

But I worry a lot about the ones who value their "freedumb" over science and rationality.

They really aren't stupid people. A number of them try hard to take care of their health in other ways, rational ways. But they're so brainwashed by the lies about Covid and the vaccine that they're completely irrational on those subjects.

I'm afraid it's going to take their getting Covid themselves or losing family members closest to them to finally get through their selective blindness.

I am caring for my father 24/7. We are all pfizer vaxed. My 92 yr old neighbor/ friend I assume is but she is not completely coherent and I have not talked with the new caretaker. I sadly have not seen her except once briefly outside while I was driving past since early pandemic after I was infected with covid and we haven’t talked as much on the phone since my father’s case. I also assume her son who lives with her is but who knows and who knows on the caretakers. My other closer neighbors who we don’t speak with or interact with are nuts so who knows. I am sure some of my former wacky friends may not be but again I have no clue. None are dumpers as far as I know except one who may be, mostly left wingish hippy nutsos & possible selective cts etc. I am sure a good portion of the neighborhood may not be and I don’t know or really interact with any of them.

I made a yearly doc appt recently and was wondering if I should do virtual again, the lady making the appt said almost all are vaxed at the office but not all so I stuck with virtual.

One homecare individual who came to do a blood draw said she was not going to get the vax due to being catholic and because it would make you infertile so she could not have children😹 But a relative convinced her that it is better not to be dead than to have children etc. I told her it is not true. And in any case said I have no children and it is ok, just get some cats or dogs😹 she laughed. When she saw our sign must wear a mask even if vaxed she assured me she was vaxed with pfizer etc. there have been no problems with anyone masking. Our pest control guy had pfizer and he is still masking as well.

People who won’t/ don’t get vaxed and who have no valid reason like anaphylaxis etc. are stupid period, no matter what their background and education. As well as selfish and narcissistic. The problem is it is a brand of stupidity and narcissism that is killing others and affecting everyone in the society.

We talk with some of our remaining relatives in Canada but my father is not clear on whether they have had the vax available yet and which one, I am sure they all have had it but I forgot to ask them.

I do have concerns about people coming to the house for my father’s care since a lot of these workers have refused vax. He has a wound vac now and needs someone in at least 3 x a week until I can learn it properly. Plus there are numerous doc visits and have been numerous hospital stays etc. only 70% of hw are vaxed in our county. Everyone is masked at least. But someone un vaxed in the home for an extended period even if masked is not a good idea.
