Woman aged in her 30s dies as Sydney records 141 new COVID cases

A woman aged in her 30s is one of two new COVID-19 deaths recorded in NSW, with the state confirming 141 locally acquired cases.

The woman, from the Sydney CBD, had no pre-existing conditions. She died at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital overnight.

The other death was a woman in her 70s from south-west Sydney, who died at Campbelltown Hospital

Yesterday the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation issued new advice that all adults in Greater Sydney should "strongly consider" getting vaccinated with any available vaccine, including AstraZeneca.

In all likelihood this woman had no access to the vaccine.
