I bought some eco friendly sneakers recently. A friend just sent me this about how damaging

regular sneakers are to make for the environment. I had never even thought about sneakers as so damaging before but now I cannot see myself buying any sneaker that is not environmentally friendly. I'm going to link to a couple sites with environmentally friendly sneakers - I have not financial interest in them but I have bought shoes from both companies and I love them.

Hoped Allbirds would work right, but just didn't stay on my feet right. But most shoes don't. They are very cute-- wish I could enjoy them.

2. I'm sure they would take them back. I found the Cariuma ones that have a larger

top - covering more of your foot slip on easy and stay easy.

3. I just ordered a pair of Cariuma sneakers in canary yellow.

They should arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. I wear a size 10 and have long skinny legs so I'll probably look like Big Bird, but they're cute anyhow.

5. Those do not look suited for anything athletic beyond stroll.

People do need shoes suited to their specific functions.

Someone running 10-20 miles a day may have to replace their shoes every few weeks.

Plus I am sure there are other eco friendly sneakers out there. No reason to pollute the earth.

I generally wear simple canvas top shoes.

There are some interesting hemp canvas shoes around.

If you google "vegan shoes" all sorts of interesting stuff comes up.

10. There are recycling options for tire carcasses but the tire tread that wears away as dust...

Nobody is making entirely non-toxic tires yet.
