Fans in the stands will spread Covid Delta everywhere. (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and minor leagues)

As fall approaches and NFL, NBA, NHL seasons start up again, I fear that delta will be a full-blown pandemic. It already appears that way as it is spreading like wildfire.

Large crowds all packed together like sardines will spread this highly virulent contagion known as the covid delta variant.

The delta variant appears to be far more contagious.

Should Democrats call on sports commissioners to suspend fans in the stands until we get a societal grip on delta?

IMO FUCK YES!

It will save untold lives.

The good news..
Those who are vaccinated can sometimes test positive for covid delta but they appear to be much stronger at fighting it and often have little or no symptoms.

The vaccine works!

If it were up to me, I'd like to see Democrats run ads calling anti-vaxxers IDIOTS!

Yes, call them IDIOTS on TV and web ads.

But that's just me..

College football stadium capacity is usually much larger than pro stadium because the pros traded capacity for luxury suites.

SEC and Big 12 are in parts of country with ylowest vax rates. Think Alabama, LSU, and Tennessee all hold more than 100k.

Scary...

Well, it works in that it virtually eliminates serious symptoms, hospitalization and death. So it is certainly worthwhile to get vaccinated. But it doesn't reliably prevent infection. So, if you get infected with delta, have little or no symptoms, and go about your usual business, you can still spread the virus plus you will still be susceptible to long-hauler effects like cardio, brain fog, etc.

The best thing to do is to get vaccinated plus maintain all the precautions such as wearing a mask and avoiding groups of unmasked people.

Justice matters.

I am fully vaccinated with the best vaccines: Moderna since last month.

I got the Delta monster last week, self-isolated for the next 7 days, but very mild symptoms: No fever, a few sneezes a day (2 to 4), and a very small headache that lasted only 3 days. I'm probably done with the monster already, thanks to the Best Vaccines Science Can Create In This Century!

I have an idea: Show proof of full vaccination before you're allowed to buy ONE ticket and show the same proof before you cross the entering gate.

That will probably be a great incentive for most 'anti-vaxers' to go get them.

Just sayin...

Heck I have those same symptoms all the time. I always wonder if I have a mild infection. But it could be anything else, really.

I would recommend going to pass a test wearing a mask.

Just to make sure, and the vaccines are very effective: No worry.

or just a transient infection, which is expected for fully vaccinated people who get exposed

It was way more crowded than I expected and I've been nervous about whether I got exposed to the virus since then (I'm vaccinated).

In the new stadium in L.A. My first in person NFL game in like 25 years!!!

I'm fully vaxed and am more than ready to live life again. I'm sure I'll be required to wear a mask during the game, but that's OK with me.
