Nixon or Trump...Who is more corrupt? Who is more evil?

Nixon was less corrupt than Trump because Trump tried to steal an election, Nixon tried to get proof
that he didn't do what he did..In a way these two are different..Trump is more corrupt..

A)...Nixon had a "Secret Plan to End the Viet Nam War" No Plan Ever Existed...(Nixon lied)

B) ..Trump said the pandemic was....a Hoax (Trump lied)

Tens of thousands of people in Viet Nam were killed..(perhaps hundreds of thousands?)..over 50,000 of our
soldiers lost their lives..)

Hundreds of thousands of Americans were killed because of B)

Hard to say which is more evil.....What do you think? I really don't know...
The fact that these events took place in different times and different places doesn't take away from the lies..
Does It?

Nixon had a Republican party that could stand up and tell him the gig is up.

Nixon today would be that more-competent-than-Trump aspiring autocrat that everybody now fears.

Nixon was a crook... but he didn't inspire a cult of personality. Once his crimes were exposed... the rank and file of the republican party turned against him (and the leaders of the repukes).

Trump is far more dangerous because his followers are much more like the Nazi cult.

A man without a conscience. Both intended to undermine the government and make themselves a dictator. Corrupt is corrupt, evil is evil and I don't know that there are different degrees of it based on the consequences.

Persuading South Vietnam that he would get them a better deal. In 1973, when the US left, the conditions were those LBJ could've gotten in 1968. Half the Americans who died were after that point. Nixon was traitor.

Both Nixon and Trump were extremely dangerous. However the democracy was stronger and there were many honorable Republicans then compared to very few now. If I had to pick a worst, it would be Trump as i can't think of any redeeming characteristics.

Nixon was a foreign policy expert. We may never have had a president more knowledgeable than him. So, after he slunk off back to California every president after him sought old Trickster’s advice on that subject.

Can you imagine anyone asking Trump about anything? I think most men can figure out the one thing Trump excelled at (screwing women he wasn’t married to) on their own.

Nixon's goons broke into DNC headquarters to bug the phones and photograph documents as part of a larger campaign of political spying and sabotage on behalf of his campaign committee, intended to ensure that he would re-elected. But there were a few lines even Nixon wouldn't cross, and once it became apparent that he would be impeached if he didn't resign, he did resign instead of throwing shit like Trump would have done, and did do.

Nixon used his own goons. Trump used help from Putin and other Russians, various Ukrainians. and most likely, Saudis and other Middle Easterners. Eddie Slovik got the firing squad for far less than what Trump did.

democracy and turn it into a dictatorship? Who gas lit America to turn American against American? Who played on the very worst prejudices and grievances that many Americans have to benefit himself? Whose lies killed more Americans? It isn't even a contest. Who led a party into a fascist fact-free movement? The damage done by Trump will still be felt in one hundred years.

I was very political when I returned from Vietnam in '69. I voted for McGovern in '72.

I remember a couple of semi-heated discussions with a couple of older middle-aged guys, at the little store in our neighborhood. (At this time, the Watergate burglary had happened but it was not yet widespread in the news. It never came to us as a Breaking News Bulletin. It was put together like pieces of a puzzle.)

When I discussed the Vietnam War or Watergate with them, they would only laugh with each other and turn a deaf ear to whatever was being discussed. It was much like the people today that refuse to see the facts.(About the election results or about the seriousness of the insurrection) I was infuriated that I could not get them to listen.

Nixon was very similar to Trump, in that regard. His supporters were very loyal to him.

But perhaps, because I was younger, Nixon never seemed to be as serious a crook as Trump? That was just the impression I am left with after all these years.

stop the peace talks that were in process by telling the N. Vietnamese he would give them a better offer, then proceeded to bomb the hell out of Cambodia and Thailand.

Johnson had the evidence and documentation but he had obtained it, illegally, some think that is what the Watergate Burgurlars were looking for when they broke into the DNC offices at the Watergate office complex.

TFG never cared about anyone or anything except his own ego. There have been corrupt presidents (Harding, Trump) and incompetent presidents (Buchanan, Bush Jr.). But TFG is the only president who was not a patriot.
