3. Thank God! I just wore a mask to the grocery store for the first time in a few months

and it pissed me off. But I saw a man on TV who had the Delta variant and was just getting out of the hospital and he had been really sick.

I figured it would just be for a week or two until
FL got back to normal cases.

It sounds like some of the covidiots are finally starting to wake up and and smell the coffee.

My husband has a friend who is a Trumper (though not a "stop the steal" crazy) who was antivax until very recently. Someone he knows got the 'rona and was really sick, and all of a sudden this dude was out getting his ass vaccinated. I suspect that may be happening with a lot of people.

It's sad that someone getting sick is often what it takes, but it's a lot worse if they don't snap out of their denial at that point, which is also a thing that happens.

I suspect that many different organizations are moving toward mandatory vaccinations. Opportunities are going to be fewer for unvaccinated folks. Sad that's what it takes, but here we are.

Despite his Donnie the 2nd act, many are getting vaccinated down here. The local Publix and Walgreens have had folks sitting in the waiting area unlike we have seen in months.

they'll say the vaccine doesn't work instead of acknowledging it takes a few weeks to build up immunity.

Hospitalizations have been increasing in regions with less vaccination. That was likely the motivating factor plus the CDC mask guidance.
