Guns, Guns, and More Guns...Availability of Guns is Horrific.

...I just posted a story in Latest Breaking News about a shooting in Indianapolis. It could be anywhere in the U.S.A.
at any time of the day. I do not think anyone who wrote the Bill of Rights and the Constitution could imagine these
horrific daily shooting across the U.S.A. Those founding fathers would have written it differently if this information
was available to them. They were brilliant people who would have found a solution other than what we have now.
...The 1780s were a different time and place. Communication was much different and News was different, and life was
totally different in every way. Yes, I do think the founding fathers who wrote the Constitution and 1st 10 Amendments
would have found a solution. And their solution would have been correct because of the level of intelligence and
concern that they had in relation to the future of the "United States of America.."
...That is all, and the rest is up to you..

1. Thanks to 450 million already out there and the ease of making them at home

Gun control as we know it might need to change approach, restricting gun supply seems to be a lost cause. Licensing and registration might help, but again the ease of making ghost guns undermines that as well.

Other than addressing the indirect root causes of gun violence; poverty, inequality, lack of opportunity, mental illness - I do not see an effective way of directly making a major impact.

To look at life and any of its challenges that way leads only to hopeless madness.

Within moments of every daily mass shooting, a certain throng of assholes leaps into action to protect the rights of their precious, precious guns. All else is incidental.

5. In order to get one goal, you have to accomplish others first.

If more restrictive, national, gun laws is the goal, then you need:

Control of the White House - Check
Control of the House - Check (for now)
Control of the Senate - I am not checking this at this time.
Control of the Supreme Court

Then at least you get your goal, even if red states ignore the new law federal law under the same reasoning blue states ignore federal drug laws.

It's hard to imagine. I don't own a gun and there are many more like me. Most of the ammosexuals I know
have many guns. I'm not afraid and I live in the boonies near the "scary Mexican" border. Hell, half the guys
I worked with were Hispanic, Americans and green card holders. They were friends, loyal friends.
