As seen in an LTE in my local rag in my very red county.
"Gov. DeSantis margin of victory in 2018 was 32,463. Floridas COVID deaths, as of today (July 26), were 38,670. COVID has already killed off more Floridians than DeSantis won by in the governors race."
Nice job, Ron.

The amendment to restore voting rights to returning citizens passed with 65%+ of the vote. Both Scott and Death Sentence won by a small margin. Who would vote for them and vote yes on that amendment? Makes no sense.

(15,703 posts)This margin thing is not accurate though. The numbers are true, but it definitely wasnt exclusively DeSantis voters who died. I do wish we had the breakdown of numbers though. I think it would be beneficial for all.

The top half of the site allows you to drill down and get stats for each county.
The bottom half is a chart, where you can see the national standards or select the state to the left and see those infected and those who died.

(6,034 posts)... a lot of right wing nuts who don't think COVID is real are moving there. To my understanding despite the fact that he is killing people he has a high approval rating.

Did they decide to retire in FL because the same types of people are their friends?
Dunno. Causation/correlation/cwestions.

(16,994 posts)died of covid yesterday. Refused to get the vaccine and when he got sick refused to go to the hospital. By the time they talked him into going he was dead within 24 hours. He was 55 and I have exactly zero shits to give. He could have used his position to encourage others to get the vaccine. Maybe his death will.

Where is yours, Florida?
When are you going to stop him?

Any amount of tampering needed to produce the "right" result, was therefore "patriotic."
