(HuffPost). Donald Trump's former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani is almost broke and Trump doesnt seem to care all that much, sources have told The New York Times.
Giuliani is currently struggling under a mountain of legal fees as he attempts to fend off a major federal investigation and answer a $1.3 billion lawsuit. Trump, meanwhile, isnt pitching in a dime of the millions he has raised in his ongoing battle against a legitimate election, according to New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman. ........(more)

When I see him out on the street, with no place to live, then I'll believe he's "broke."

I would assume he is still on the hook for alimony and the lawsuits against him are draining $$$ like mad - https://www.businessinsider.com/rudy-giuliani-entourage-firing-legal-costs-alimony-report-2021-5
And since the law license suspension, the faucet has been all but shut off.

He has bodyguards, and gets chauffeured around in a private car.
Dirtbags like him never seem to be truly broke. I'm sure he has plenty left, but he's obviously burning through some of it with all the attorney fees.

(7,873 posts)Nothing I read at Huff-post states his debt level or his impending insolvency. If he truly owes money we'd see the process servers swarming. He may be owed by TLG, and just possibly others, but nowhere is there a statement of either his personal worth or his debt. His public relations machine seems to be still operating at full throttle.
If he loses the Dominion suit then clearly things could change. He or his people (whoever that would be at this point) claim they are looking for funds to defend him with. I don't see anything indicating he's actually lost staff or representation due to lack of cash. If he were that broke you'd see the rats leaving, not begging in front of the media. IMO they think some RW deep pockets, or gullible pockets, are gonna send him something substantial. I also suspect he's got meaningful funds sitting offshore somewhere which his people expect to get a piece of after this dog and pony show ends.

(64,875 posts)But, it is accurate that he had a hard time finding lawyers to take the Dominion case, and that the firm that did take it is expensive.
He was in public service a long time. Those are nicely compensated position but, we're not talking 7 or 8 figures per year.
He has money, but he doesn't have MONEY!
His own bank, he's not.

(9,944 posts)... "almost" is not good enough!
... Rudy will never be broke, with his pensions and social security. Maybe "broke" for a wealthy person, yes; but that's not broke for the average citizen.
Between his pensions and Social Security, he is easily bringing in 12 - 15 grand a month. And his suggested net worth is 45 million. He also makes a lot of money at speaking engagements. Yes, there are fools that pay big money to hear him speak! Which to me is unfathomable...
