actions.
They need to be shown otherwise.
Last week was quite the week for the neo-GOP:
Madison Cawthorn trying to smuggle a gun onto a plane, acting like a brat on the house floor more than once, with the overtop declaration that Nancy is not God being a *tad* hyperbolic. Oh, and lets arrest Fauci. Good grief.
Moving on to Kev. Threatening violence against Nancy by whacking her over the head with a gavel. Hilarious!!! Whines that Nancy has somehow broken congress because she would not allow his Nazis to sit on the commission, and proudly announced that he was more than happy to completely ignore the suffering of the Capital Hill police by refusing to watch their testimony, as did McTurtle.
Jim Banks denies the heart felt testimony to the commission, suggesting that Nancy scripted them and that it was performance art.
Jim Jordan getting himself VERY confused about when he spoke to Trump on the day of the insurrection. Truly funny.
Some of the very special ones, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Louie Gohmert where blocked from entering DC jail while trying to visit some of the domestic terrorists involved in the insurrection. Because of course they did.
And that is all just from the top of my head and of course I could go on.
Distract, deflect, performative politics. There is nothing behind any of it which is why they continue to act with such impunity and with no shame whatsoever. There have been no consequences to their actions over the last few years and it has emboldened them. They have no grand plan, no foresight, no great strategic vision. Everything is said and done in the moment and everyone will continue to suffer from their utter self-centred stupidity until they get legally spanked for their transgressions.
Just sayin

(3,976 posts)I blame the Republican establishment for losing all moral and ethical grounding. Since Trump was elected, it was the congressional Republicans who enabled the behavior, would not stand up to egregious behavior, allowed this to continue to the state were in now.
