General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI am sure my list omits some of your "favorites", but the following are the Top Three Profoundly
Stupid Republicans in my opinion:
Louie Gohmert, Marjorie Taylor-Greene and, of course, Ron Johnson.
This is not intended to list the most hated, most evil or most infuriating, though some of these would make at least "dishonorable mention" in all those categories.
""Profoundly Stupid" is the standard considered here.

(21,752 posts)There are soooo many who qualify for top three... Or top five... Sheesh, so much right wing stupidity today.
Edit - Being from Colorado, I'd want Boebert in there but for the life of me, I can't pick one to remove.

So,----"Top Three" is all I'm up to.

(10,133 posts)Cynical and probably corrupt, that I'll buy. Willing to sell anyone and anything to further their own goals (IMHO, McConnell's is power, I have no clue about Graham), two-faced, toadies sucking up to their donors - sure. But not stupid - especially when compared to the bulk of the Republicans in Congress

The whacky is so good at getting ink, it's hard to say it's not intentional. It's like reality tv. Who's acting, and who's whacked?

(21,745 posts)There is also a lot of stupid (or crazy, take your pick) among "mainstream" Republicans like Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Tom Cotton, and many more.

(182,772 posts)Jim Gilmore. I was told by a long time state employee and Republican (old school Rockefeller type) that Gilmore had to be the DUMBEST person ever to be Governor. The state runs off a biennial budget so everything is over two years. Gilmore could never grasp that. His aids had to regularly remind him of this. He was dumb in other ways too apparently.
