Nina has burned a lot of bridges over the past five years. Her loss is not a surprise to me.

The ppl she chose as cohorts sarandon, Shawn king, Cornell west...to say nothing of all the terrible things she said about HRC and President Biden. Voting for jill stein in ‘16. Democrats have long memories

On edit, I see turner never really lead in the polls as mentioned in post #6.

The only polling that ever showed Nina ahead was the one she paid $800,000 to conduct.
She hired Tulchin Research.
Tulchin was a campaign worker on the Bernie Sanders Campaign.
It was a push poll.

There was never an upset.
Brown was always the stronger candidate & proof is in the vote count & Shontel Brown's win tonight.

An upset would have been if Turner had won.
She lost.
Campaign over.

Congrats Rep Shontel Brown.

...and that is why she lost.

She was just a little too far off the Democratic track for some folks.

Which of these positions are not part of the democratic mainstream:
Medicare for all? the green new deal? Higher income tax for billionaires? Increase the minimum wage? Stronger unions? Aren't these all things that Democrats stand for?
Maybe Turner's personality is too obnoxious for congress, but at least she was right on the issues.
Healthcare and the environment are, IMHO, the two most important issues. However during the campaign Brown would not to commit to medicare for all or the green new deal. Hopefully, now that she won, she will get on board.

Turner's attitude and her dissing of her own party cost her big time. She and her "progressive" entourage got a big-ass comeuppance tonight.
