5. Plan B: a crime is a crime and criminals should be punished

...and corrupt office holders should be removed even if not guilty of a crime per se.

It would suck if a corrupt Dem gets replaced by a Republican. A damn shame. But that's not a good enough reason to let a corrupt pol hold onto power.

7. It depends

Take the case of Biden and Reade. The charges Reade made deserved to be taken seriously. In doing so, we found out that Ms. Reade is a liar who has lied to pretty much every person who crossed her path. Conversely, you have the case of Kavanaugh and Ford. There we found out that Kavanaugh was a liar and Ford was honest. That said, I would have a hard time convicting someone of a crime based solely on one person's testimony and no other evidence at all.

8. I think its very hard for any of us to separate politics from the accusations.

I have contempt for Kavanaugh and was ready to hate him and believe his accuser.

I had contempt for all of Clinton's accusers. But it became impossible to deny that he lies about sex.

I thought the world of Cuomo. But I don't want to see him in elected office any longer.

but Kavanaugh repeatedly lied under oath about things that had either nothing to do with the charges Ford levied (he lied about his role in a scandal in regards to confirming Bush judges for example) and things that were related to but not directly about Ford's charges (the drinking age in the state he lived in, his drinking habits). I do still do think Clinton was a womanizer not into forcing women to do things but given him being the boss the womanizing alone was not cool.
