There were two primaries yesterday, a Republican one and a Democratic one in two different districts. Both to fill open seats.
Will the winners, then, just be sworn in in D.C. or do they have to win general elections? A news story mentioned general elections.
If so, who will be their respective opponents? Did both districts hold a Democratic and a Republican primaries?
