On obnoxiousness, partisanship, the Democratic *agenda*

This is in reaction to the media yakkers who ragged on the NY Attorney General for not announcing immediate charges on CUOMO upon reading the results of the investigation.

Whether he resigns, is impeached, charged, sued, whatever - he is *SO* over. He can't dare to hope that Dems will go to the mat to defend him. It’s not about blind partisanship: When a Democrat goes wrong, cash in the freezer or whatever, he forfeits the Democratic label.

The lesson from defending Bill CLINTON was that NOBODY as an individual is worth more than the Democratic AGENDA. We spent tons of energy on him that was taken away from should have been devoted to working on the AGENDA. It is so hard to win the chance to advance the agenda that it is a waste to put everything on hold, set everything aside, stifle the precious chance just to "save" one individual.

That said, just personal obnoxiousness ought to be a chargeable offense. The mob, street dialect/accent and entitled brutishness are dead giveaways - whether they come from any ideological parts of the spectrum. My local radio wingnut yakker, who tries to reach out to convert me, thought he was bucking me up when Ed SCHULTZ was yelling supposedly "Liberal" things on MSNBC - thinking that I would be happy to have somebody for my side to match LIMBAUGH. What little I heard of SCHULTZ was screaming obnoxiousness, which repulsed me just as much as from LIMBAUGH. Or Hugo CHAVEZ or three hour rants from CASTRO. Whether Drumpf or CUOMO.

Same goes for the "religious" types. Occasionally the clicker lands on some "inspired" fool screaming his fool head off, supposedly about "God." Can't click away fast enough. Maybe it’s true that the media yakkers don’t believe what they yap about, just do it for the cash or their own self-love.

cancelling Democratic since the Savings & Loan scandal created by their own policy agenda of boom/bust; I am referring to the Keating Five that gave a pass to McCain but sent several Democratic politicians out of office including Tony Cohelo.

As for Bill Clinton, all they had to do was attack relentlessly, both Bill and Hill, which was kind of strange since the Clinton presidency was very conservative, tough on crime, anti-regulation, labor/wage suppression and the globalization of seeking the cheapest labor that could be exploited.

And really, oh never mind.

But sure keep letting the conservation use their political power over the media for destruction of liberal political and economic issues

Can we at least proceed through the legal process?

"Can we at least proceed through the legal process?" -

*** The legal process is for the targets, the accused, to go through. What does that mean for regular partisans who want our agenda worked on - to sit around without the agenda while "the legal process" is being worked through (for the target/accused)? That's the same as to going without the agenda while taking up defenses for the target/accused.

If the target is being pursued maliciously *SOLELY* by dirty tricksters to get rid of an opponent, that's different. If we're talking about CUOMO, a significant amount of the "process" (an investigation) has resulted in findings, enough for the rest of us to cut bait and let him "proceed through (the rest of) the legal process on his own.

Since President BIDEN, Speaker PELOSI, several Dem governors and other Dem leaders have had enough, I'm not saying anything very outlandish.

A quotation much bandied about in our Dem circles is SANTAYANA's “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Really along the same lines is: " 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.' "
https://www.businessinsider.com/misattributed-quotes-2013-10 - "Becker traced the original back to Rita Mae Brown, the mystery novelist. In her 1983 book 'Sudden Death,' she attributes the quote to a fictional 'Jane Fulton,' writing, 'Unfortunately, Susan didn’t remember what Jane Fulton once said. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results." ' "

My *opinion* - and now emphasizing the other word, *my* - is that your post takes us with CUOMO back to Bill's Square One, such that both quotations apply.

While dirty tricks against somebody might happen, even often, the CUOMO situation doesn't appear to be a James O'KEEFE type operation, especially after the investigation and its conclusions. Granting knee jerk immunity based just on label/brand ain't the game for me here.

If political dirty tricks are the issue then th Party needs to defend itself. If cash in the freezer is, then the fellow is on his own.

*** I've had my say, made my case, and want no part of being flamed as happens too often. Anybody disagreeing, fine, that's all that needs to be said or just moving on to a thousand other threads.
