Why does he oppose the bipartisan #January6thCommission?

A Congressional staffer had four cops pick me up and drag me from the room.

I still asked the question.

No reason to doubt the story, but the video doesn't really show anybody being forcibly removed. Any other sources out there that show this?

The woman in the blue blazer is Victoria Spartz. She was born and spent most of her life in Ukraine, when it was still part of the SSR. Apparently, she has no issue with what happened, which comes as no surprise. She’s probably kissing up to McCarthy big time.

She was reprehensible as a state senator (actually voting against a bill to provide Medicaid coverage for hospitalized kids) and has now taken her bullshit to DC. Cannot STAND her.

From the mics on the podium it could be a press conference, but it sounded like he was giving a speech. If it's a press conference, removing a journalist for asking a question is way out of line. If it's a speech to a private group, they can allow or disallow journalists at their discretion.

The tweet provides no context of the event in question, and that makes a difference. The video is also less than a minute long. McCarthy is a jackass, but there's a lot of important information missing from this tweet.

17. Why is the map of Cuba on the wall behind McCarthy at this event? Who was he addressing?

The questioner's premise, before he was forcibly removed, equated Castro's takeover of Cuba to the January 6 insurrection. I'm assuming McCarthy was addressing some Miami Cuban-American group, and this meeting is part of the GOP's outreach to rabid anti-communists agitating for military intervention on the island.

It's become a rule at these private venue Republican press conferences that if a reporter asks a question that is not unquestionably supportive of GQP talking points and propaganda then that instantly transforms them into a trespasser which is a criminal they can use police to forcibly remove or arrest.
