Here’s a thought for the Biden administration to consider: If you’re going to start paying people $100 to get vaccinated, you should start charging unvaccinated people $50 each time they have to be tested (“Federal Workers Must Get Shots or Test Often,” U.S. News, July 30). See how quickly they modify their thinking.

1. The cruise lines did something similar, IIRC.

If you're not vaccinated, you get tested daily at something like $100 a pop.

2. All we have to do is tell them our plan is working.

3. I think they should publish the bills of people who have been hospitalized with Covid and had

no health coverage at the time. And, for the ones who survive, the ongoing cost of treatment.

4. Insurers should refuse to pay for covid costs if they refused vaccination for no good reason.

It will just raise the costs of insurance to all the folks who did get vaccinated if they are on the hook for such high bills.
