Our County Just Passed A Mask Mandate for Kids K-6th Grade
Based on the parental reactions I've seen thus far, you'd think the county commissioners wanted to line kids up against the wall and start shooting. Here are a few reactions:
I am seriously in shock right now our BOCC just approved mandating masks for K-6 now mind you this is Johnson County Kansas and they literally have approved sweatshirts to be worn on childrens faces! Madness, pure madness! 🔥Wake up people! Get your heart right with God or yourself none of us live forever. Because Science!
They want them masked right now and we had 0 childhood deaths in my county since the beginning of the pandemic began. When will it ever end?
I'm waiting for the "common sense" variant to spread.
Nah just put towels and sweatshirts on the kids in August on an unairconditioned bus in JOCO but only if you are K-6th and if you turn 12 and get the shot in 6th grade sorry keep masking, nevermind what your high school siblings do whether they got the shot or not. Age discrimination much?
First of all ... sweatshirts? They are equating a child wearing a mask with wearing a sweatshirt over their face? They lost me right there.
Every school district in the Kansas City area (both MO and KS) have either had a meeting or are having them tonight to address this issue. Parents are picketing, attending meetings, shouting and weeping ... yes weeping ... begging the school board members not to make their children wear masks.
I'm really glad I don't have school-age kids anymore. Not because I don't want them to wear masks, but because I wouldn't want to have to deal with these parents.
