Missouri Taxi Company Bans Vaccinated Riders

Snip

"When he told me his rules, I just couldn't believe what I heard," she says now. "And I guess I'm not the only one that feels that way."

Indeed, online reviews and social media posts going back to the summer of 2020 show multiple instances of riders complaining about Bullington's behavior and Yo Transportation's anti-vaccine and anti-mask policy.

On Facebook, one woman said a Yo Transportation driver had denied her a ride because she was vaccinated and "shedding skin cells with poison in them" — likely a reference to the theory, which has no basis in reality, that vaccine "shedding" can sicken people nearby.

In a June thread about the taxi service posted to a Pacific-focused Facebook thread, two people wrote that they knew of passengers who had similarly been denied service for wearing a mask.

Let free DUMB ring, eh?

By the way, the 'Pacific-based ...' comment refers to an actual small town west of STL City called Pacific, Missouri (off of I-44), FYI.

When I go sometimes out of town fishing, I usually stopped in Pacific, MO (about 25-30 miles from the city) to top off for gas, do other misc. stuff as it was a good stopping point after the 'rush hour' atmosphere in initially driving out from the city (you all know what I mean).

People have to tell him if they are vaccinated or not. Frankly, even if its the only ride in town, no way would I use it with policies like that.

suburbs right and left, IMHO.

I don't think that he would get much business but a lot of little towns don't have much in cab services for their populations that don't have vehicles/transportation.

My Mom and Dad in out state MO had at one time 3 different cab services where they lived at in the boonies (Lebanon MO), and then it went to zero service, I guess none of them could survive. It was really a pain, for my transmission went out and I had to go back into town (Lebanon) to pick up my car when it was ready, and with no cab service, I had to rely on my Mom who does NOT do good driving at night...yikes!

Which means covid spreads easily.
It's a safe bet people driving for this company are ant-vaxxers and anti-maskers as well.
So this guy insists on having un-vaccinated/un-masked drivers driving un-vaccinated/un-masked passengers while delta is sky rocketing.
What can go wrong?

Good on a guy who turns down business from half the population for specious reasons?
They're banning VACCINATED riders. Not unvaxxed riders!
Hardly anything to celebrate.
Also, calls into question how good a businessman the owner is.

This will have to be the honor system, though I don’t really see that strategy of lying about it, as you would just be giving him business.
