Another black athlete condemned without a trial
There is a deceptively edited video going around, accusing a world class runner of “intentionally” knocking bottles from one of SEVERAL water tables during the marathon.
It is a lie. Please don’t fall for this latest round of “let’s not even hear the other side” from today’s condemned black man.
That is a deceptively edited video intended to frame a black man who is convicted without having even a quote from him.
First, there were additional tables. Every runner got a drink. The clip is cut just before the next on the series of tables comes into view. That choice was deliberately made to frame a false narrative that it was the only table.
How stupid are you, the reader, assumed to be, to believe that one small table was the only water available. You have been lied to.
Second, don’t watch the hands, watch the bodies. On first viewing, you think it is the runner directly adjacent the table. But look more closely. He is not next to the table. He is making an awkward reach while sandwiched between two other runners and is much further away. If you watch his body, you see how awkward a reach it is.
You have been lied to.
Third, in a clearer video, watch his hand grasp several times as the bottles slip out. These are cold plastic water bottles with condensate on a warm day. They are slippery.
Please consider that the internet lynch mob is not always reliable.
