My avatar is a lapel pin. Post office sells Purple Heart stamps, which a clerk offered me and i was shocked at and refused. I wear the things I'm qualified for.

Unqualified people exist but i dont think any of these items are seen as official.

Then issueing to employees once they've verified - for wearing at work.

I guess employees might wear them elsewhere or company could prohibit. But elsewhere would reduce them to the unofficial status.

I don’t think this type medical identification should be sold on the market. MAYBE if you have to prove you were vaccinated then possibly ok.

Someone had a great idea to make money though!

This is not directed at the op, who means well I’m sure, but PT Barnum nailed it.

I don't see much difference between a t shirt and a bracelet.
If it makes you feel comfortable in your decision to vaccinate then go for it.
I am still going to wear a mask around just everybody out in public.

before all the raging opposition. It's a good thing, to show you're aware and compliant- it's not supposed to be official. Lighten up people!

You could stick a piece of paper that says "I'm vaccinated" on your chest and have the same authority and effectiveness.

an "ImmunaBand" - https://www.fox5vegas.com/these-new-wristbands-are-a-wearable-way-to-prove-youre-vaccinated/article_2e35a4c1-2f0a-5aa9-b865-d87d11bb5bfa.html

So how does it work? Wearers have to upload their vaccination cards for review before they can receive the band. The documentation is stored on a server compliant with medical privacy laws and the process is end-to-end encrypted, the company said in a news release.

The company makes two bands -- one with just the QR code, and another with the QR code plus the wearer's name and type of vaccine they received. The bands are both priced at $19.99. That code can be scanned with a smartphone to prove vaccination, the company said.

It gets customized to include a QR code with your vaccine info on it and is apparently even being used here at restaurants in Philly - https://6abc.com/covid-vaccine-proof-immunaband-el-merkury-food-reading-terminal-philadelphia/10560420/

Of course that stipulation of having your vax records stored on a 3rd party server is concerning. But then a "generic" one is... well...

I wouldn't be surprised if that type of tech ends up being adapted by state governments. The last time I was at Disney World was 1975 (!!! ), but if I'm not mistaken, they use bracelets like that now for admission (although I think theirs are actual (programmable) RF chips like the federal HSPD-12 PIV card I had for accessing my worksite and computer network before I retired).

Most of my friends (and family) already know I'm vaccinated.
I don't feel a need to announce it to anyone else.
