(70,649 posts)My avatar is a lapel pin. Post office sells Purple Heart stamps, which a clerk offered me and i was shocked at and refused. I wear the things I'm qualified for.
Unqualified people exist but i dont think any of these items are seen as official.

(70,649 posts)I guess employees might wear them elsewhere or company could prohibit. But elsewhere would reduce them to the unofficial status.

(14,549 posts)I don't see much difference between a t shirt and a bracelet.
If it makes you feel comfortable in your decision to vaccinate then go for it.
I am still going to wear a mask around just everybody out in public.

Exactly.

(128,516 posts)an "ImmunaBand" - https://www.fox5vegas.com/these-new-wristbands-are-a-wearable-way-to-prove-youre-vaccinated/article_2e35a4c1-2f0a-5aa9-b865-d87d11bb5bfa.html
The company makes two bands -- one with just the QR code, and another with the QR code plus the wearer's name and type of vaccine they received. The bands are both priced at $19.99. That code can be scanned with a smartphone to prove vaccination, the company said.
It gets customized to include a QR code with your vaccine info on it and is apparently even being used here at restaurants in Philly - https://6abc.com/covid-vaccine-proof-immunaband-el-merkury-food-reading-terminal-philadelphia/10560420/
Of course that stipulation of having your vax records stored on a 3rd party server is concerning. But then a "generic" one is... well...

(128,516 posts)I wouldn't be surprised if that type of tech ends up being adapted by state governments. The last time I was at Disney World was 1975 (!!! ), but if I'm not mistaken, they use bracelets like that now for admission (although I think theirs are actual (programmable) RF chips like the federal HSPD-12 PIV card I had for accessing my worksite and computer network before I retired).
