(268,856 posts)The experts suggest that there are other factors which should keep it weak - we'll see.

(11,949 posts)For 3 nights. North of Tampa. Looks like we may be spending time in breweries rather than on the water.

(11,949 posts)Dont get me wrong. I drink way too much. But not on a boat. Its way more dangerous than having a drink or two even if driving. Boats dont have brakes and if you wreck your boat even if you live through the impact you will be thrown into the water and your problems are just starting!
Stay safe down there.

(16,925 posts)we 'lose' again with not having TFG here to bring out the 'Magic Sharpie' and send Fred on to those 'Radical Left Democrat' sites so that the world can be safe from harm.....
(Oh, and for you 'trollers' looking for good juicy stuff: )

noun - the use of irony to mock or convey contempt. ))

(28,181 posts)We're due to get a new roof in the next couple weeks - once the permit comes through. I'm hoping we can get under it before the worst of the season.

(11,949 posts)We had a contact for a new roof in October. In September the storm hit and wrecked our shingles. Insurance covered 9K of an 18k roofing job!
Yep, Irma saved me $9,000? My best friend told me Im the luckiest SOB he has ever met!

(12,375 posts)Hopefully will bring enough rain for a good car wash.
I should shut up though. Ive been here 40 years and one of the tropical storms kicked our butt and created worse problems than any Cat 1 or 2 ever did.
You just cant judge these storms.
