The unvaccinated cause health care costs to rise for the rest of us. They could prevent this outcome but they choose not to. Hit them in the wallet.

Very little care other than painkillers.

The ACA is designed to prevent health-based insurance premiums that would have either prevented my daughter from obtaining health insurance at all - OR - forcing her to pay $1,500 - $2,000/month because she has a costly disease.
The only reason insurance premiums can differe are: age, smoking status, geography, plan (gold, bronze, silver, etc.), and individual v. family enrollment.
And that's a good thing. It is the ONLY reason many individuals can get health insurance at all - no one would otherwise issue my daughter a plan because her care costs $200,000+ each and every year.
