If congress can't kill Republican suppression laws, democracy is dead
Democratic Senators Manchin and Sinema are fucking us beyond our worst nightmares. They are stopping the Democratic Party from crushing the insane Republican state election laws being passed. The purpose of these laws is to ensure Republican victories, regardless of what the real votes turn out to be.
Republicans have dropped all pretenses. They are now an openly white supremacist Party, opposed to democracy, and working to establish a fascist America. And if/when they control the congress in 2022 and the presidency in 2024, we'll all be living in what can only be called a dictatorship.
Think I'm being overwrought? Take a look at Florida and Texas and try to tell me that insane, irrational people aren't in charge and literally murdering people. Take a look at MAGAs armed to the teeth, awaiting marching orders from Dear Leader (TFG). Republicans are well along the way to carrying out their agenda. And us? We're hoping for the best. Well, hope in one hand, spit in the other and see which one fill up first.
Democracy is teetering on the edge of a cliff waiting for that final shove. And if/when that happens, the American majority will be controlled by an authoritarian few, and enforced by an mentally deficient army of know nothings who are willingly handing away their own freedoms.
And make no mistake about it. A huge Democratic voter turnout can't overcome laws in which corrupt Republicans count the votes.
So what do we do? My best suggestion is to dig up every piece of dirt on Manchin and Sinema. If possible, get photos of them in extremely compromising circumstances and blackmail them into voting with the rest of the Democrats in the senate. It may be the only way to stop the madness and prevent the end of democracy.
