Gotta tell you about a text from my niece in TX.

My no vax sister got the covid. Her son drove her to ER. in Lumberton TX. (difficulty breathing) Got there and they administered the Plasma treatment then sent her home. This AM got another text from niece saying that my sister had a ROUGH night and her son was taking her to a dif. hospital. (Port Neches?) The real reason for this message is this. My sister was told that evidently she has to wait 100 to 200 hours for a bed there. (i do not know if patients are just in a chair or a bed waiting in the halls of the hospital?) CRAZY TEXAS!!! I hope she gets better. My sister is very much against the vaccination so i guess i have mixed feelings here.

Yes, I know it's your sister, but she made a choice. A really crappy one.

and still think she made a stupid choice.

I love my little brothers but they can be some pig-headed dopes.

At least one of them did get the vaccine.

My friend's niece is in ICU right now with Covid and a perforated bowel because of the intubation and we just don't know how she will do. She's in her 30s and has 15 month old that had covid too but the kid got better so we are hoping for the best.

They know my thoughts and I'm not rubbing a bunch of "I told you so!" in their face. Just hoping she gets better.

My sincere best wishes for your sister and you take care of yourself too - worrying can be wearying.

That’s what the ER rooms in North Florida were doing last week, though not 40 hours then. So I had my dad transferred to Mayo Clinic ER for extreme back pain and it took about 15 hours for a room.

If someone doesn’t wear a seatbelt you don’t treat them? If they overdose? If they’re shot while trying to commit a crime? You can’t do that. You can’t be a doctor and a judge, jury and executioner.

Well she DID get a bed! Using 4 liters of O2 now. Someone asked if nieces and nephews were vaccinated? The answer is a BIG NO! Don't really know what happened to my family, BUT one brother and myself (and wives) are FULLY vaccinated! another Sister and 2 brothers and their family ARE NOT. The religious ones are not. (that's what i blame it all on) Not sure how it's going to end. I'm really upset with them BUT nothing i can do about their STUPIDITY! Again thanks to all comments here! UPDATE I JUST GOT!!! (8:05 pm) She did NOT get a bed yet. still waiting.

Sorry if that's too personal. I only know Catholics and Episcopalians (and Atheists), who don't tend to reject vaccines on religious grounds.

I don't know many unvaxxed people, period. I met 2 around Memorial Day.

Wait.... don't go away.

I want her to be sick... get well completely...see the error of her ways...and then becomes a voice for vaccinations and masking.

I've read posts that said people like your sister should die. That's not OK.

This could be a (good) turning point for your sister.

I wish her well.

... some of them in the ICU.

Not sure if that experience changed his mind.

That was before the vaccines were generally available so maybe he did change his mind, but I'm afraid to ask.

The last thing I want to hear is how God saved him. I've already heard that about other bad experiences in his life.

My own guardian angel could tell you some stories about me, especially about falling off of cliffs into the ocean, driving motorcycles in the night at 120 mph across the desert, jumping out of moving cars, or mouthing off to very bad people holding guns or knives... I have scars.

I did get the vaccine just as soon as I could.

I don't like giving my guardian angel any further opportunities to see me suffer.

He seems to think those are "teaching moments."

… we do spend time with some of them, but it’s hard, every time. They are the sane and well-balanced ones. One branch we don’t even see any more because the cultish beliefs are just too nuts.

The other night hubby and I were watching the news & had the same thought. I said, “When this is all finally over, I hope every one of them is alive and well, and I don’t even care if they all go neener-neener at us. But this just is so far from being over.”

I’m so sorry about your sick sis and her unvaxxed kids. I hope all the evil politicians and talking heads who are playing this for power and money and shits and giggles go to Hell, and that right soon.

Been out and about today, so just wanted to let you all know that my sister has a BED but no ROOM. We have been getting messages from my niece and all their friends from messanger. OK now the big thing with my sisters family and friends is, get my sisters DR. to give my sister Unbelievable amounts a vit. C PLUS a animal worm killer drug called, Ivermectin. (which of course the DR. REFUSED) That God for that! The Dr. is giving her a total a 5 bags of Remdesivir. with O2. Dr. said for family to be prepared for a LONG treatment period at home if and when she lives through this. You wouldn't believe some of the Qanon type people here. (her friends i guess) Anyway that's about it for now. You all be safe and take care!!
