Cuomo Says He Would Have Beaten Impeachment

Political Wire

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) told New York Magazine that he would have been vindicated in an impeachment probe and that he would have made the state assembly “look like a ship of fools.”

Said Cuomo: “I feel like I did the right thing. I did the right thing for the state. I’m not gonna drag the state through the mud, through a three-month, four-month impeachment, and then win, and have made the State Legislature and the state government look like a ship of fools, when everything I’ve done all my life was for the exact opposite.”

He added: “I’m not doing that. I feel good. I’m not a martyr. It’s just, I saw the options, option A, option B.”

should not have resigned if he felt he was innocent. He should have made the legislature prove their case. I agree with that. If he thinks he is innocent then make them prove their case. I don't think he is innocent but he is trying to have it both ways.

Insolence and arrogance are hardly attractive features in those hoping to salvage a reputation.

Like rudy, so many had respect during a crisis. But after time, their hubris gets the best of them.

I agree with the poster that he is more and more trump-like. A shame really.
All of the women he groped and sexually harassed probably do not agree he is a winner.

At this point I expect him to get to day 13 of his notice and then withdraw the resignation.
