UK : Tories are copying GOP playbook with new "Elections" Bill including photo id
Boris Johnson won his huge majority in the 2019 general election campaign with 43% of the popular vote. The Conservatives may not be able to get even that many votes this time, and so it's likely they're set to lose their majority. So the Elections Bill is being introduced in order to maintain their grip on power with even fewer votes.
