(81,127 posts)A genuinely good man. Not appreciated when he led our country.
And when he dies, you just watch. ALL the haters and scoffers and sneering holier-than-thou assholes and know-it-alls and armchair admirals and generals and quarterbacks who dumped on him nonstop will all come out of the woodwork to intone solemn speeches about how great and moral and wonderful he was and how they always knew how honorable and trustworthy he was and how much faith they always had in him and supported him and knew, bottom line, he was right and yap yap yap.
And they wont mean A WORD of it. And they NEVER felt that way about him to begin with. But they do love any chance to prance around and puff themselves up on camera. Theyre whores. Every last one of em.

Democrats help others.
Democrats empower.
Democrats make positive change.
Democrats sacrifice.
Democrats feel.
Democrats know the path.
Democrats exude wisdom and forward thinking.
People who do not identified themselves as democrats, well, you get the idea.

(22,309 posts)Fugelsang confirmed to Reuters via Twitter direct message that the quote is indeed his and not Carters.
He made this remark on the talk show Viewpoint, featured on Current TV. Reuters was unable to find the segment, which is no longer available on Current TVs website. Snopes, who debunked the claim back in 2014, reported that the segment aired on May 29, 2013 and provides a transcript of Fugelsangs full quote.
During the segment, Fugelsang made this remark to criticize Tennessee congressman Stephen Fincher, who had recently quoted a Bible passage to allegedly justify billions of dollars in cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

(7,263 posts)I will never regret that.
I will also never forget the horror of 1980.
My parents got a personal signed letter from President Carter thanking them for their work to help divest us of the Panama Canal.
History is showing he is the most DECENT President evah.
goddess bless you President Carter.
