The Delta variant of Covid-19 is driving an increase in the percentage of employers implementing or considering a Covid-19 vaccine mandate.
Thats according to a new survey from Atlanta-based law firm Fisher Phillips LLP. The survey, conducted Aug. 4-6, was the firms third survey focusing on vaccine mandates and illustrates how rapidly employer sentiments are shifting on the sensitive topic.
The August survey found 15% of employers are mandating or considering a vaccine mandate. Thats up from 4% in May, and it dovetails with what employment attorneys have been telling The Business Journals in recent weeks.
Kevin Troutman, a member of Fisher Phillips' Covid-19 task force and its vaccine working group, said its noteworthy that two-thirds of respondents are still opposed to mandates although the percentage of employers falling into that camp fell to 68% in August from 83% in May.

(23,065 posts)In FL, soon as it's regular, it would be mandated for hospital employees, but attorneys won't push for this under the emergency auth. - maybe because of Death Sentence?
