Democrats run to govern. To use the power of government to reign in the excesses that make people's lives difficult. Republicans run to rule. To maintain the power structures of Wealth, White, Protestant Christian Men. They do not govern. They run AGAINST government. So, yeah, naturally they fuck things up, then they complain bitterly about how government doesn't work.

Sad thing is that enough people buy into their bullshit to get them close enough to where they can cheat to win elections.
