were also going to see lots of ardent feminists over here take a not my problem attitude to whatever horrors befall Afghan women.
The hypocrisy is strong on both sides.

The knowledge of what is going on NOW in the prisons, homes, and checkpoints of Afghanistan freaks everyone out!

(4,835 posts)My prediction is were gonna see a whole bunch of folks who support white nationalist terrorism (particularly on 1/6) but are all kinds of upset that we left a country that we went into specifically because they supported terrorists.

(8,764 posts)feminists of any stripe, moderate Democratic and farther left women, and others that support equality and sanity have a reasonable reason to question what is ongoing.
One thing have not seen mentioned is what about all those regional capitals and villages far from Kabul?
Those that do managed to escape with USA aid from Kabul will tend to those that were closest to the grifts.
Hell has been brought on the women and children of Afghanistan, many of which had bought into the hope of a brighter future.
When will the line be drawn against toxic religious fundamentalism within the USA?
