Nicole Wallace looked like she wanted to hit the mute button & move on.
There was fire in her eyes!

(12,564 posts)He says he and his group provided the government with several plans to get the translators and their families out safely. All were ignored. He is incredibly frustrated and angry. He got an email from one of his translators -- someone who had actually picked up a gun and killed Taliban attackers -- which said, "I am going to die. I am proud of my service to the United States."
Several weeks ago Biden looked in the camera and said in effect that we would honor our obligations to those who had served our country. "You are not forgotten. The United States honors its commitments to those who have served it. We will help you."
These people were forgotten. They were left to die. Their families were left to die. It didn't have to be this way.
For the first time during his presidency, I am angry with President Biden. And disappointed.

(24,238 posts)from there and will help no one get out. Take note that we are still in control of the airport and have already gotten thousands out in recent weeks. The work continues. We are still flying people out.
Also remember that not every single person who worked for the US over there qualifies for sainthood. In a war we sometimes hire bad people to do bad things. We did it in Vietnam and I'm sure we are doing it in many places right now. I hope we can get out as many good people as possible. I will reserve judgement until this all plays out.

(16,850 posts)Planefuls of them arrived here just weeks ago. Will we get everyone out? I doubt it seriously, but to suggest Biden isn't trying is disingenuous.
