And Abdul Average and their families will bear the brunt of the outrages.

fighting in those mountain areas.
China must have a stable Afghan government for its Belt and Road initiative. Why would China pump large sums of money and public work projects into a country still war torn?
It is going to be interesting to watch this unfold.

(22,112 posts)and everything else that goes w/ constant war? You have the Taliban, the local drug lords, ISIS, Al-Queda, Pakistan, Iran, everyone (seemingly). And a significant % of the population is of the Islam faith...I don't know.
Maybe it's time for the Afghans to step forward somehow, and drive the process, perhaps the current events going on is exactly what's happening. Whatever one does, don't listen to the garbage rhetoric coming from republicans of all stripes, seemingly way too eager to readily blame Pres. Biden for all the sins in Afghanistan, an especially hard thing to do since Biden's only been in office since towards the end of Jan. 21...
For such an improvised geographical area, it does make one wonder why?
Everyone deserves a chance for a peaceful life, no matter where you are at.
