It would be small forces with little to no back up operating in remote areas. It’s a bad idea. He was correct about the Kabul airport. We should try to keep it open as long as long as possible.

But he also said the Taliban is afraid of us, which is just bonkers. The airport remains in our hands at the largesse of the Taliban. If they wanted the airport they could eventually take it.

reoccupation, with thousands of troops. trump made a deal with the devil. Quick evacuation is the best option with least death. We have been evacuating Afghanis for months. We will continue to do so at the rate of 5000+ a day, according to gov. sources, now that the airport is now operating under US control. The media continues to run the worst video they can find, over and over. Media hasn't shown one clip about Afghanis now being evac'd since we've taken back control.

Could have been done better, yes. But, these attacks on our President and our military are really starting to tick me off. The media is doing a feeding frenzy against Biden. and the folks taking the opportunity to buy into it and attack, is alarming.

25. I think the outer areas where the media isn't, is an absolute possibility of

murder and taking of minor female hostages/slaves/'brides'. I'd be surprised if it hasn't already happened. Those outside media rich provinces have been controlled by taliban for weeks and months now. There are reports of taliban going home to home, seeking strong women who are interpreters, doctors, etc... I saw pictures in Kabul of women's faces being erased, the men and boys in the streets smiling. This issue is more than the American fantasy... Americans need to start dealing with the reality, and the reality is a lot of Afghani folks have zero desire for western culture.

It was a fancy hair/makeup salon with giant pictures of pretty women with western-style uncovered hair and made up faces without burkas, facing out at the street.

Pretty damn sure the situation was that the people who owned the business didn't want to scream at the Taliban "HEY WE'RE A WESTERN VALUES PLACE!!!" the second they walk into town. So they were taking the pictures down or painting them over.

Anyways, if there's people we CAN safely get out that aren't necessarily in Kabul, who helped us out and are facing likely death if we don't get them out, I'm open to the idea.
