And to doublecheck, I read the link as “Facebook.com/doctorswithoutborders” and knew for a fact the poster was referring to Médecins Sans Frontières, sometimes rendered in English as Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical non-governmental organisation of French origin.

Sounds like you had a very different experience.

Some acronyms are widely known or easily found and certainly not worth your level of vituperation.

1) Look it up. If you don't know it, looking it up will anchor it in your memory.

2) If you can't find it, ask simply without igniting the flamethrower first as step 1.
