I think Islam is poisonous, posted an account linked to a former Proud Boys network on Telegram, an encrypted app widely used by the far right. BUT, these farmers and minimally trained men fought to take their nation back from [world governments]. They took back their national religion as law, and executed dissenters. Hard not to respect that.

To be honest, the Taliban is epic, said a popular white-nationalist commentator on Telegram, in a post viewed over 2,000 times. The US had to invade in the early 2000s and stay over 20 years, spending $1 trillion dollars, and dozens of American lives to hold them back. As soon as we left, the Taliban took over the whole country in like 12 hours. LMAO.

Emphasis mine
Of course they are celebrating - right wing theocracy wannabees always love to see the subjugation of others through violence. Lets face it - if you had to put a piece of paper between GOP and Taliban on certain Policy Platforms... hhhhmmm
No reproductive health services for women
Gay marriage illegal
Unregulated access to guns
Religious Courts / Judges to administer justice
No infrastructure investment
Compulsory religious classes in schools
No separation of church and state
Oh, and,
Cheering as their supporters storm the Capital.
Graphic mine
Like two peas in a pod. Heh.

(1,751 posts)1. Not 'far' right.
Just the right in general.
This is mainstream conservatism and fundamental rightwing dogma.

He admires execution of dissenters and has no shame in admitting it.
Let that sink in.

.... give a damn about the political consequences cause they'll keep winning elections
