I just found out my husband's jerk of a boss (and wife) flew while sick with COVID!

He and his wife were visiting family in Wisconsin, caught COVID while there.

They knew they were both sick and SUSPECTED it was COVID, but flew back to Phoenix anyway.

They then got tested and confirmed it was COVID.

When my husband told me I lost my temper and said, "That's how my friend and his husband GOT SICK! Somebody flew sick on my flight attendant friend's JOB!!!"

Now he and his husband are both seriously ill!!!

13. This is the #1 reason why I'll probably never fly again

I've made a point of only traveling by car (my own car, or a family member's) from now on. If I can't get there by car, I don't want to go.

I may consider taking an Amtrak train, but I have to think long and hard. For me, a plane ride or boat cruise are completely out of the question.

I'm retired now so I won't have to travel for work. That's a huge relief.

We have lost control of this virus because not enough people have been vaccinated to slow it down. Dicking around has given the virus purchase to reinvent itself into a more contagious form. Add to that the immoral folks who don't care who they infect or who refuse to take steps to slow the virus down. They act as if they've got some power over the virus. When they wind up in the ICU -- if they can find a bed -- they'll sing the praises of their new religion of wearing masks and getting vaccinated. I look at them and wonder how many people they've infected before they got intubated. Unfortunately, the innocents will pay also. The biggest different here was that a doctor in Africa falsified his report to show that he was over covid so that he could come home to recuperate.

I didn't report him because I hear about this third hand and several weeks after it had happened. Plus I don't know which airline he was on.
